This programme is designed for ages 4-6 to begin working on FUNdamental movements.
This course will specifically look to improve children’s mobility and basic movement patterns in order to help them develop and become more efficient at movement and gross motor skills.
This course has been designed by Jamie Geraghty – Qualified in Fundamental Movements through SAQ, Setanta College, FMS and one of Ireland’s leading Calisthenics coaches. He has also been a P.E teacher the past eight years, as well as training Kung-Fu in China with Shaolin Monks and been involved in coaching a variety of different sports such as football and Swimming.
This class aims to emphasise improving movement through fun activities for children in order to help them become better co-ordinated and more adept with functional movement. The development they achieve through this class will then help them to progress in whatever sport they decide to move into, as we look at developing children able to move well without restrictions to better enable them for sport and physical activity in general.
We want to develop a healthy attitude towards exercise for children by encouraging them to take part in these programmes and by us ensuring that the sessions are fun and enjoyable for them in a safe and controlled environment.
All children who attend this course will receive a certificate of completion and also a certificate of achievement when they have developed adequate movement skills.
Because of the nature of the programme, we are limited to twelve places on this course. To confirm a place for your child please fill out an application form below.
