Calisthenics at our Club's
Community Day this year!
August 6th - We are delighted to be hosting a Calisthenics Community Day!
Located in: Scoil Cholmcille Ballybrack 10:00am - 1:00pm
This is a Club Fundraiser to send our athletes to the World Championship in Riga, Latvia August 20th - representing Ireland for the first time in the country's history!
This is a huge stepping stone for the development of the sport in Ireland, and an occassion like our community day gives us the opportunity to show everyone what is great about our sport and our club!
Our Community Day will feature TONS of activity for people to take part in - young and adult alike!
Bar Monkey Fittest Family Challenge
We will be hosting a Fittest Family Challenge!
The rules are quite simple; three challenges and the team/family with the most collective points will be crowned Bar Monkey's Fittest Family!
The Three Challenges are;
Pull-Ups
Push-Ups
Dead Hang
So the more family members you get involved, the more chance you have of winning!
*Note - it is not compulsory to take part, we aren’t trying to scare off any parents :-)
Calisthenics Exhibition
We will have a demonstration from some of the best athletes in the country! Our competition group, along with Jamie and Aaron (our two coaches who have qualified for the World Championship) will all perform their routines to showcase the sport!
Pull-Up to the World Championship
Our next generation of athletes coming through are taking part in a sponsorship event to raise their funds to attend the World Championship! For every euro they receive they will have to perform a circuit of Pull-Ups, Push-Ups and Dips equal to the amount raised!
This will be a tough challenge for the group, but we know with everyone's support they can get through it! The chance to attend and see the World Championship will be a huge opportunity for them and I know will inspire them to want to be there as competitors soon! This will be a huge help to us as a club to help them take the mantle and become our club's next generation of athletes!
Recreation Area
A space throughout the day for all Calisthenics Enthusiasts to utilise, have fun and practice their skills!
