Calisthenics Exhibition

Tymon Park – Saturday August 21st

Operating Procedures

Please make sure to read this as it contains all necessary information on how our outdoor event will operate and how you can co-operate with us to help keep everyone involved in the exhibition/event safe.

 Registration

  • Upon registration you will receive an email containing a screening form. You will need to complete this before we can confirm your place in either the workshop or demonstration.

  • You may be required to provide more information after completing the form.

  • All participants on the day, whether you are there as a bystander to watch/support or whether you are participating in the event itself, will be expected to comply with event and also covid-19 regulations which are in place at the time.

 Arrival

  • Parking is available at the Limekiln Road Entrance. Please Park in the spaces provided. In the event that these are at full capacity, please use alternative car parks in Tymon Park and walk around to the event.

  • Before arriving each parent of a child participating will have to check their child’s temperature and text our event co-ordinator to indicate there has been NO CHANGE in their child’s health or temperature since completing the screening form.

  • Upon arrival there will be a hand sanitizing station. All participants will be required to use antibacterial gel when they enter.

  • Groups such as the ones participating in the demonstration will be in pods, as recommended by Sport Ireland in conjunction with government guidelines. This can also be the case for groups who request this. For example, a calisthenics club from another area who are already in pods in their club, will be able to come into contact with each other. Family members who are in attendance, as well as parent’s/guardians are also able to be close contacts.

  • Social distancing of 2m should be respected with all others in accordance with government guidelines.

 Workshops – Adult

  • We will have twenty participants split into two pods of 10 max in each session. (15 allowed according to government guidelines currently)

  • Each group will be asked to stay within that area as it will keep them 2 metres apart and maintain social distancing.

  • In accordance with Sport Ireland, athletes and/or participants returning to sport or activity should understand that this is on an opt-in basis and must accept personal responsibility upon deciding to take part in any activity.

Structured Play Area – Youth

  • All youth participants must remain supervised at all times by a parent/guardian or a designated person.

  • This is to give participants an opportunity to experience the facilities and the parent/guardian must assume all responsibility for their child during the exhibition.

  • Registration form must be completed from parent’s/guardians before the event.

 Attendants – Observers

·       People attending the event as an observer, parent/guardian or designated person will be required to adhere to covid-19 regulations advised by government guidelines at the time.

·       Social Distancing of 2m will still be required to adhere to from people who aren’t regarded as close contacts or part of your pod.

 Demonstrations – Participants

  • Athletes taking part in the Exhibition will be asked to remain within their pod of teammates. This means:

Junior Athletes | Teen Athletes | Adults will be expected to remain in their own pods.

  • Junior Athletes will also be expected to be under supervision from Parent’s/Guardians or designated person at all times.

  • All athletes must complete a registration form and screening form in order to be able to participate. Participation will not be allowed without completion of the registration form and screening form.

 Weather

  • In the event of poor weather, the event will be postponed to another date.

  • It is essential that all participants complete a registration form so that we can update you if there are any changes unfortunately due to poor weather.

 Event Arrangements

·       No alcohol permitted at the event.

·       First Aid will be on site.

·       Waste Management. Please use bins provided on the grounds.

If there is failure to abide by these rules and if we feel someone is causing the exhibition to be unsafe, either to themselves or others, we will ask the person to leave the event.

We want to create as safe an environment as possible for all involved and if somebody is disrupting that, it is for the wellbeing of everyone else that they will be removed.

We appreciate your co-operation throughout all of this as we do our best to work within Covid-19 guidelines and ensuring a safe return to sport.
