Parent's Information Evening

Hi Guys,

With preparation for our November competitions well underway, we are delighted to let you know we will be running a parents’ information evening to look at how we can support young people when it comes to competitions.

The session will last one hour (online) and we will explore psychological principles and how we can tailor our conversations with young people to hopefully help them see events as positive experiences and something to look forward to!

This session will be hosted by Jamie Geraghty, our head coach, who holds a Masters Degree in Applied Sport Psychology. He will lead the discussion and demonstrate how we aim to make competitions feel like Christmas Eve for the young person, rather than an exam!

Session time:

  • Monday October 20th

  • 6:00-7:00pm (online)

If you are available it would be great to have you there. This is aimed specifically at our Level 2 and Competition Groups, and offers parents a chance to look at scenarios and discussions they can have with their child, and hopefully create space where they have positive perceptions of what competitions can be.
